Tweaks2K2 offers an unbelievably long list of tweaks for the Pocket PC with a user friendly interface. Tweaks2K2 emerged as an answer to my meager RAM. I don't know how I even functioned with my PPC's until this came along. I would download registry hacks and editors and every so often, the worst would happen and a hard reset was required to fix what I'd (un)done. Along comes this excellent tool for improving the environment of the PocketPC.

As if speeding up text caching and allowing easily adjustable system fonts and point sizes wasn't enough, the latest revisions (and they come more often that I expected them to) encompass line, bar and text colors for Today screens, something I've been wanting to control for years (without expensive UI mods).

Tweaks2K2 is small (around 200K) so it easily installs onto even 16MB PocketPC's with no worries about RAM conservation. It's fast and totally transparent to the system, since it's not a 'hack' that runs in the background all the time.

Tweaks has basically encompassed all the best hacks and tweaks that the 'techies' have been doing to their PPC's and added them into one terrific, easy to use application. Now everybody can have a finely-tuned, 'hot rodded' PocketPC without risking registry editing or collecting lots of smaller, less comprehensive hacking apps.

You'd think there'd be a catch, but there isn't. Customer support is spot-on and instantaneous. No email I've ever sent to Frank has gone unanswered for more than a few hours. He's really dedicated to this product and making sure Tweaks users get the most out of it. Pretty impressive stuff, especially for such a tiny investment. Thanks!!

If I could give this product 10 stars, I would. It does exactly what
it says it will do -- very well. And the customer support, well, I can't
say enough. I ordered it this morning before going to work and by
mid-morning (within a few hours) had the registration key from the author.
I'm sure it would have been much sooner had I been able to check my
personal email sooner. This is a must-have in my book and, at under $6,
it's a steal.

I will never complain about spending $5.75 for a program with the functionality that this program has. 

An update every five months means that it cost you less than 4 cents/day to use. 

The date and time and system font tweaks are welcome additions.

I have upgraded from version '03' to '04' and am amazed at what has been crammed in. For a few dollars you can take more control of your IPAQ in little personal ways. There are two sets of system tweaks, some internet and keyboard tweaks adding up to great value for money. I hope the author keeps up the good work and adds more tweaks to help personalise your IPAQ.

Beside all the praises that where made by others about the software, I want to commend the software support (Frank J.) that was more then helpful in aiding me to uninstall the software and undo the configuration that I have made, even that the trial of the software passed, and for that he should receive my 5 stars ? Good service and support is something of a  rare commodity.

Do yourself a favor and get a free version of another product.

Regking is free and does the same things. This product not only costs but they expect you to pay for updates. Add the fact that you have to send an email to the developer and then wait to receive a registration code. I give it two thumbs down.

Note from Tweaks2k2 developer: You can do all the tricks by your self using the information posted in the how-to section of this site.  And... Regking is a really good software but... does not do everything my program does.

This program is without a doubt, a must have!!! I cannot believe how well Tweaks2k2 sped up my iPAQ 3870. Games are faster, video runs smoother, memory optimization is excellent, and on top of all that, you can customize the look and feel of your Pocket PC. If that wasn?t enough, the support is excellent! Well worth the price. Keep up the great work. And no, I do not personally know the author of this software.

This program is the "TweakUI" for the PocketPC. For suffers of the un-explained (or non-existant according to Compaq) iPaq PocketPC 2002 slow-down problem, this software is the answer. After experiencing extreme slow-downs on my 3850, this software tweaked my registry and brought my ailing iPaq back to life. The WEB site explains the registry settings if 

you want to set them yourself, but the $5.75 registration fee is well worth it to get all the registry "hacks" in one easy-to-use interface. Thanks again for a great product.

Worth the Money for the Battery Warning Alone

Like many users, I was irritated by the 40% battery warning in the 2002 operating system. Having the popup window appear every time I turned it on was a real drag. This product allows you to turn this off completely or to leave the audible alarm and/or light working. The product also has several other worthwhile features as well.

The program does exactly what it says it will do. The display speed is much faster than without it, although, the animated window feature seems to slow things down a bit. It's nice having the options it offers with both system and internet features. Just wish there were more.

I find that Tweaks2k2 is a program that helps the user in tricking the PocketPC's operating system. There are three different types of tricks in this version of the program including System, Internet and Keyboard. I have checked several tricks in both Systems and Internet areas and performed a soft reset of the PocketPC. One of the major items that I like about Tweaks2k2 is that I never had to reset these options ever again. The program's ease of use and the excellent

This is the first program that has ever made me desire to write a review for, but I'm not going to review the program. I'm going to speak of the professionalism, and support of the programmer. First off, if you are ever in need of tweaking your computer, you have come to the right spot. Tweaks2k2 will change the look and feel of your handheld pc with just a few keystrokes. No need to manually edit your registry and take 

the chance of having to hard reset your ppc. This program sells for less than a pack of cigarettes but packs more features than any other commercially available product out now. I purchased Tweaks2k2 and had a problem running it, but it turned out that my ppc had corrupt files that prevented proper operation. I E-Mailed Frank and in less than three minutes was in touch with one of the most helpful and considerate people that I have ever dealt with. He listened to my need for assistance and helped me for over two days to repair my ppc to allow it to run Tweaks2k2. This he did out of determination and out of consideration. I use my ppc everyday for work, and even one day without it would cost me dearly. In my opinion, Frank is very proficient at what he does and Tweaks2k2 Proves it. I let him know that for everything tweaks2k2 has to offer I would gladly have paid three times his asking price for it. I came out of this with an 

EXCELLENT Tweaker, a fixed computer, and a new friend all for less that $6.00. Thanks again Frank.

I downloaded Tweaks2K2, installed it and it fixed my apparent encryption
problem at the bank.  I set the browser to I.E.6 and connected with my bank
on the first try.  This is a great utility!
